Soltech Achieves SMB Specialization from Cisco in USA

Battle Creek, Michigan - November 21, 2007 Soltech Technology Solutions announced today it has achieved SMB Specialization from Cisco^®. The SMB Specialization recognizes Cisco resale channel partners whose primary focus is on the small and medium-sized business (SMB) market with fewer than 250 employees. 

The Cisco SMB Specialization was created in response to customer demand for channel partners to be capable of designing and implementing SMB-specific Cisco solutions," said Surinder Brar, senior director of worldwide channels at Cisco. With the SMB Specialization, Soltech has made an investment in obtaining the training, skills and knowledge necessary to play a pivotal role in meeting this increasing demand.

To earn the Cisco SMB Specialization, Soltech has fulfilled the training and exam requirements. Soltech also met the personnel, training, and post-sales support requirements set forth by Cisco.

Soltech adds a Telecommunication System Engineer to its staff

Battle Creek, Michigan - February 18, 2008 Soltech Technology Solutions announced it has added Matt Meade to its staff. Matt brings 10+ years of experience in Telephone system programming & design. Matt will be leading the Voice Services Division of the company. These services include both Traditional and VOIP based Telecommunication Systems involving: Public Branch Exchange (PBX) and Key Telephone Systems (KTS), voice mail, call detail recording and contact center service & support.

Matt is an Avaya Certified System Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the industry. He is qualified in PBX, Key Telephone Systems (KTS) and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems from manufacturers such as Avaya/Lucent Technologies, AT&T Partner, NEC, Nortel, Vodavi, Linksys & MultiTech to name a few.

Matt is also a certified Proxim Wireless/WiFi Broadband Engineer. Prior to coming to Soltech, he was most recently involved in the design and deployment of a Michigan based Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) Network. Matt's role in this project was as the lead Engineer responsible for the overall design and deployment, including: network architecture, wireless site surveys, bandwidth management, performance monitoring, and more.
